1. Who we are

PowerCheckIn is operated by PowerShift Tech Inc. PowerShift Tech Inc is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Contact: support@powershifttech.com.

2. What we collect

• Account data — name, email address, sign-in credentials.
• Content you add — goals, check-ins, wins, to-dos, notes, space settings and uploaded media (for ad bookings).
• Support data — messages you send us, issue reports, and support-access approvals.
• Usage and device data — log and telemetry data, device identifiers and IP address, used for security and product improvement.

Payment card and billing details are collected directly by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, when you make a purchase; we do not store your card details.

3. Why we use it (legal bases)

• To create and operate your account and provide the service (contract performance).
• For security, fraud prevention and service reliability (legitimate interests).
• To provide customer support, including view-as-a-member access only after your explicit approval (consent).
• To improve the product and understand usage (legitimate interests).
• To meet legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).

4. Who we share it with

• Service providers and subprocessors that host and operate the service (cloud hosting, database, email delivery, error monitoring).
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• PayPal, for referral and ambassador commission payouts, when you provide a payout email.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.

5. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed for the purposes above. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised. Support-access logs are retained for audit purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email support@powershifttech.com; we respond within one month.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level data isolation, and audit-logged, time-limited support access that only activates with your approval.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear these in your browser settings; essential cookies are required for sign-in.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
